Paneer Mushroom Makhani recipe

Paneer mushroom makhani is a lip smacking recipe. This recipe is very delicious in taste and the buttery flavor of gravy makes you dil mange more. So let’s know how to make it.

Required ingredients for paneer mushroom makhani-

  • Paneer or cottage cheese = 200 gm
  • Mushroom = 20, chopped
  • Onion = 1, medium size, finely chopped
  • Garlic = 5 cloves, finely chopped
  • Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
  • Tomato puree = 1/2 cup
  • Green chili = 2, finely chopped
  • Red chili powder = 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder = 1 tsp
  • Fresh cream = 2 tbsp
  • Butter = 1 tbsp
  • Green coriander = 1 tbsp, finely chopped

Method of making-

Step 1

Take a pan, pour butter in it and let it melt.

Step 2

Now add cumin seeds and let it crackle for few seconds.

Step 3

Add chopped green chilies and garlic in a pan and stir fry them. After sometime, add chopped onions in it and saute fry it for 2 minutes.

Step 3

After 2 minutes, add chopped mushroom in a pan and let it stir fry it until it start releasing water.

Step 4

Add tomato puree in it and mix it well.

Step 5

Now add red chili powder and salt in it. Mix all the things well.

Step 6

After 5 to 6 minutes, add paneer cubes in a gravy and give it a nice stir.

Step 7

Add garam masala powder and mix it well. Now add some water and mix it.

Step 8

Let it cook for 15 minutes, cover the lid and slow down the flame.

Step 9

After 15 minutes, turn the flame off. Add fresh cream and give it a stir.

Paneer mushroom makhani is ready. Garnish it with chopped coriander.

Serve it hot with butter naan, jeera rice or parathas or chapati.
