Chili Bread Recipe This is an Indo-Chinese recipe which is really quick, easy and delicious in taste. All you need to make this recipe are basic sauces which are easily available at homes and bread slices. The bread pieces are roasted to make them crispier and sauce is prepared for it. So let’s know how to make this delicious recipe at home.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Chili Bread Recipe
- Bread = 4 slices
- Green chili = 2, finely chopped
- Garlic = 3 cloves, finely chopped
- Capsicum = 1/2 cup, finely chopped
- Onion = 1, chopped
- Spring onion = 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- Schezwan sauce = 1 tbsp
- Tomato sauce = 2 tbsp
- Soy sauce = 1 tbsp
- White vinegar = 1 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Oil = as required
Instructions For Making It
Firstly, chop the bread slices into small cubes or pieces.
Take a non stick pan, add pieces of bread in it and roast them till they turn golden and crisp in color. Roast the from all the sides. Keep the flame on medium to low and continue to stir it otherwise the pieces will get burn. Put them aside.
Now clean the pan and add oil in it and heat it up. Then add finely chopped garlic, green chili and saute for about 30 seconds. Keep the flame on low to medium.
Further add chopped onion and capsicum in it and saute for about a minute. Turn the flame high now.
After a minute, add schezwan sauce, tomato ketchup, soy sauce and white vinegar. Stir all the sauce well and continuously.
Add a little bit of red chili powder and salt and mix well.
Cook the sauces for a minute and a dash of water in it so that the sauces will not burn.
Turn the flame on medium and then cook it for about 15 to 20 minutes. Sauce is ready now turn the flame off and add chopped spring onion in it and give it a stir.
Add roasted bread in it and mix it immediately with sauces. Make sure the bread will not become too soft.
Finally, your chili bread is now ready. Serve it hot and enjoy.
