As we all know that pulao is everyone’s favorite so today I am going to share a very tasty and healthy corn pulao. Before it you all tried different types of veg pulao but this corn rice or pulao is slightly different from others. This recipe will surely like by your kids also. You can make this recipe for your kids or husband’s lunch box as well.  So without wasting time lets start the recipe of this unique  meal.

Necessary Ingredients We Required

  • Corn kernels = 200 gm
  • Basmati rice = 500 gm
  • Onion = 2 nos, thinly sliced
  • Green chilies = 3 nos, slit
  • Ginger-garlic paste = 1 tsp
  • Salt = to taste
  • Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
  • Whole spices = cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, star ansie
  • Oil or ghee = 2 tbsp
  • Coconut milk = 1  cup, diluted

Method For Making Corn Pulao

Step 1

Take a pressure cooker and add about half cup of water, add corn kernels and pressure cook for about 2 whistle on medium flame. Keep it aside.

Step 2

In a pressure cooker, heat ghee and add cumin seeds and whole spices. Saute it for a while.

Step 2

Now add the thinly sliced onion and slit green chilies. Cook till onion get pinkish in color.

Step 3

Next add the ginger garlic paste and saute it for 2 minutes.

Step 4

Add the boiled corns and saute.

Step 5

Now add salt and saute it well.

Step 6

Now gently add the soaked rice and gently mix rice and corn together.

Step 7

Add coconut milk or you can also add normal milk and mix well.

Step 8

Now add 1 cup of water and close the pressure cooker.

Step 9

Cook the pulao on medium flame for about 2 whistles.

Step 10

Plate the pulao and garnish it with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Your Super quick and easy corn pulao is now done. Enjoy it hot with some raita.
