Korma Rice Recipe | Delicious Rice Recipe For Lunch

Korma Rice Recipe If you are getting bored by having normal rice or biryani then here I am sharing a new and delicious rice recipe which is really amazing in taste and gives your taste bud a new hit. You can easily make this recipe for lunch, so let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Korma Rice Recipe

  • Rice = 1 cup, soaked for 30 minutes
  • Ghee = 2 tbsp
  • Green cardamom = 2
  • Cinnamon stick = 1
  • Cloves = 2
  • Bay leaf = 2
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Turmeric powder = a pinch
  • Cashew paste = 1 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds paste = 1 tbsp

For Korma

  • Sprout moong = 1.5 cup
  • Ghee = 2 tbsp
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
  • Green cardamom = 2
  • Onion = 1/2 cup, grated
  • Coriander powder = 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder = 1 tsp
  • Tomato = 3/4 cup, half boiled and chopped
  • Milk = 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cream = 1 tbsp
  • Salt = as per taste

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly in a big vessel, add ghee and let it melt. Then add green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick and bay leaf. Saute them for a while.

Step 2

After a minute, add cashew paste, poppy paste, salt, turmeric powder and mix them well. Cook these spices for 30 seconds and then add drained rice in it. Mix well and add 2 cups of water in it. After a boil, cover the lid and cook rice completely or till rice tenders well.

Instructions For Making Korma

Step 1

Take a pan, add ghee in it and heat it up. Then add green cardamom in it and let it splutter for a while, then add grated onion in it and saute onion till it turns pinkish or slightly golden in color.

Step 2

Now add ginger and garlic paste and cook till raw smell of ginger garlic disappears.

Step 3

Further add tomatoes in it and cook them well, then add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix them well.

Step 4

Now add sprout moong in it, mix it with spices and add milk in it so that moong gets tendered well.

Step 5

Cover the lid and let them cook till moong gets tendered. Furthermore after removing the lid, cook it openly if water is present in it.

Step 6

Finally add fresh cream, give it a nice mix.

Your delicious korma rice are now ready to serve. For plating, in a serving dish, add cooked rice and pour prepared korma on it and serve.
