Kashmiri Paneer Recipe This is a delicious recipe of paneer which is amazing in taste and absolutely easy in making. The ingredients are so easy that they are easily available in every kitchen. The creamy and rich gravy of this paneer with the taste and flavor of whole spices makes it more delicious than the other paneer recipes.
In kashmir, people uses saffron in most of the foods and milk is also often used. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Kashmiri Paneer Recipe
- Cottage Cheese (paneer) = 300 gm
- Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
- Onion = 2, pureed
- Cloves = 2
- Cinnamon stick = 1 inch stick
- Green cardamom = 2
- Bay leaf = 1
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Ginger powder = 1 tbsp
- Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Milk = 1 cup
- Saffron = few threads
- Oil = 2 tbsp
- Water = as required
Instructions For Making It
Firstly cut the paneer as per your required shapes and keep it aside.
Now take a wok or a pan, add oil in it and heat it up.
Add cumin seeds in it and let them splutter for a while. Then add bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon stick, green cardamom and saute these spices for 30 seconds.
Now add pureed onion in it and cook it till it turns pinkish in color.
Further add turmeric powder, black pepper powder, salt, ginger powder and cook them well.
Furthermore, add milk and saffron in it and bring it to a boil. Let the mixture cook till it slightly thickens.
Add paneer cubes in it and mix well, then cover the lid. Cook it on simmer for about 2 minutes.
Finally, your delicious kashmiri paneer is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with rice or naan or chapati and enjoy.
