Besan Ladoo Recipe | How To Make Besan Ladoo

Besan ladoo are one of a most popular ladoos, which are often made during festive season. To making besan ladoo, gram flour is roasted in ghee till it gives a nutty fragrance and its color turns into a nice yellow brown. This is a lip smacking recipe which you surely have in sweets. While making besan ladoo, it is necessary that you will have to continuously stir it until  gram flour releases ghee and gives a nutty fragrance. Necessary Ingredients Required For Besan ladoo

  • Gram flour or besan = 1 cup
  • Pure ghee = 1/4 cup
  • Powdered sugar = 1/2 cup
  • Saffron threads = 7
  • Nutmeg powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Green cardamom powder = 1/4 tsp

For Garnishing

  • Pistachio = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Almonds = 1 tbsp, finely chopped

Process Of Making-Step By Step

Step 1

Sieve gram flour in a bowl and keep it aside.

Step 2

Now take a heavy base non-stick pan or kadai, pour ghee in it and heat it up.

Step 3

When ghee starts melting, add sieved gram flour in it.

Step 4

Mix it well with ghee. Roast it until it turn into golden brown in color. Stir it continuously with the help of spatula or spoon. It will take 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 5

Now turn the flame off and add nutmeg powder, green cardamom powder and saffron threads. Mix well with gram flour.

Step 6

Transfer this mixture into a large flat plate and let it cool for 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 7

When mixture is little warm, add powdered sugar in it and mix it well.

Step 8

Divide this mixture into 8 parts and make round (ladoo) shape from each part. You can make it by rolling it on your palm.

Step 9

Make all ladoo with the similar method and then add chopped pistachios and almonds on each ladoo.

Step 10

Let them set or cool at a room temperature.

Your besan ladoo are ready to serve. You can store them in a container as well.

Eat it whenever you want and enjoy it with your family.
