Chili chicken is an indo-chinese mouth watering recipe of chicken. In India, this may include a variety of dry chicken preparation. Chilli chicken is a sweet, spicy and slightly sour crispy appetizer made with boneless chicken, bell pepper, garlic, chili sauce and soya sauce. Hey foodies! Ingredients required for chilli chicken-
- Boneless chicken = 500 gram
- Corn flour = 4 tablespoon
- Green chili = 4 (2 finely chopped, 2 slit)
- Soya sauce = 4 tablespoon
- Tomato sauce = 2 tablespoon
- Onion = 2 (chopped)
- Garlic = 4 cloves (finely chopped)
- Spring onion juice = 4 teaspoon
- Bell pepper = 1 (chopped in cubes)
- Ginger garlic paste = 2 teaspoon
- Olive oil (or you may use any other oil) = 4 tablespoon
- Salt = as per your taste
How to make chilli chicken
Wash all the chicken pieces and add ginger garlic paste in the chicken and marinate it for half an hour.
Now take a bowl, add corn flour and make a paste with it by using water in it.
Now add chopped green chilies in the corn flour and mix them well.
Now add marinated chicken pieces in the corn flour mixture and set it aside for 20 minutes.
Take a deep fry pan and add oil in it.
Heat the oil on high flame and after heating up of oil, turn the flame slow and fry chicken pieces in the oil.
After frying all the chicken pieces, kept them aside.
Now in the remaining oil, add two more tablespoon of oil and then add chopped onion in it, fry them.
After frying the chopped onions, add spring onion juice and chopped bell pepper in it. Fry them well and add slit green chilies.
Now add soya sauce, tomato sauce in a pan and then add fried chicken pieces and salt in the pan. Mix them well for 8 to 10 seconds. Then add 1 cup water and cover the lid of the pan.
Now switch the flame slow and let it cook for 10 to 12 minutes.
After sometime, check whether the water is remained or not. If water is remain in the chicken then turn the flame high and vaporized the excess water from the chicken.
Your chili chicken is ready.
Serve it hot with fried rice or naan.
