Veg Masala Momos Recipe Today I am going to share the most famous, popular and delicious street food or snack. I am sharing momos recipe which is quite popular among teenagers and adults also. This recipe is really good in taste and i am sharing the most easiest way by which you can easily make it at home. So without wasting any time, let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Veg Masala Momos
- All purpose flour = 2 cups
- Green chilies = 3, finely chopped
- Onion = 1, finely chopped
- Capsicum = 1, finely chopped
- Cabbage = 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- Garlic = 2 cloves, finely chopped
- Ginger = 1 inch piece, finely chopped
- Carrot = 2, finely chopped
- Salt = as per taste
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Vinegar = 1 tbsp
- Soy sauce = 1 tbsp
- Schezwan sauce = 1 tbsp
- Oil = 2 tbsp
Instructions For Kneading The Dough For Momos
Take a bowl, sieve flour in it.
Now add some salt in it and mix it well. Frequently add water in it and knead a smooth and stiff dough from it.
Keep the dough aside by covering it with a cloth.
Instructions For Making Stuffing
Take a pan, add oil in it and then add chopped garlic and onion in it. Saute them for 2 minutes.
Further add chopped capsicum, carrot and ginger in it. Saute these veggies also.
Last but not the least, add chopped cabbage in it and saute for few seconds.
Now turn the flame off and then add salt, red chili powder and mix them well with veggies.
Then add vinegar, soy sauce and schezwan sauce. Mix all the sauces well with the other ingredients. Let the stuffing cool for sometime.
Instructions For Making Momos
For making momo cover, pinch a small portion from the kneaded dough and make a round ball from it.
Flatten the ball by your fingers and then roll it with the help of rolling pin and make circular disc from it.
Wrap should be thin from sides and thick from the center.
Take a spoonful of stuffing and place it in a center of flatten momo wrap.
Apply water with your finger tip towards the corner of the circle and lift one side of the circle, further start pleating. Join all the pleated in the center and keep it aside.
Make all the momos with the similar process.
Take a dim sum steamer and place momos on it and steam them.
Do not over steam them because it will make them chewy. Steam them for maximum 8 to 10 minutes.
Ones your momos are steamed, steam the next batch.
Finally, serve your veg masala momos with momos chutney and mayo.
