Tawa Masala Pulao Recipe Hey guys!! Welcome back to the zayka recipe’s kitchen. Today I am sharing the most famous and delicious recipe of tawa masala pulao which is really popular in Mumbai. This tawa pulao is easy in making and popular street food of Mumbai. I am not using any extra masala in it like people used to add pav bhaji masala in this pulao. You can easily make it for the lunch as it is healthy also because it contains vegetables. Let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Tawa Masala Pulao

  • Rice = 2 cups
  • Green peas = 1/2 cup
  • Carrot = 1/2 cup, chopped
  • French beans = 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Onion = 1, finely chopped
  • Green chilies = 2, finely chopped
  • Tomato = 1, finely chopped
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder = 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Curd = 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds = 1/2 tsp
  • Cloves = 3
  • Black peppercorns = 4
  • Oil = 2 tbsp

Instructions For Making

Step 1

In a pan, add 4 cups of water and then add some salt. Bring it to a boil, then add rice in it and cooked till rice are 80% cooked.

Step 2

Ones the rice are cooked, drain the water and keep them aside.

Step 3

On a large griddles, add oil and heat it up.

Step 4

Ones the oil gets heated, add cumin seeds, black peppercorns, cloves, fennel seeds. Let them splutter for few seconds.

Step 5

Then add chopped onions and saute for 2 minutes. Further dd ginger and garlic paste and saute for a minute.

Step 6

Now add all the spices and mix well. Add curd and continue to mix. Add a dash of water if needed.

Step 7

Then add all the chopped vegetables and cook them till they turn soft.

Step 8

Finally add cooked rice in it and give it a gentle stir.

Step 9

Cover it and simmer the flame for a minute.

Your delicious tawa masala pulao is now ready to serve.

Serve it hot with raita and enjoy.
