Tamarind Toffee Recipe Hey Readers!! I hope you all are doing well. Today I am going to share the recipe of sweet and sour toffee recipe which is really delicious in taste and also a very good for digestion. This recipe is time consuming and needs efforts, but the final result of it is just worth the time and efforts. You don’t need a lot of ingredients for this recipe. I am making it with tamarind which makes its tastes sour. Make this and store it for about a month and I am sure You will gonna love this toffee recipe. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Tamarind Toffee Recipe

  • Tamarind (imli) = 200 gm, soaked in 1 cup water
  • Jaggery (gud) = 1 cup
  • Dates (khajur) = 10 to 12, seedless, finely chopped
  • Red chili powder = 1 tsp
  • Black salt = 1 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Roasted cumin = 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala = 1/2 tsp

How To Make Imili Ki Khatti Meethi Toffee

Step 1

For making toffee, take a pan and add finely chopped dates and 1 cup water. Let it cook on a medium flame till dates becomes soft.

Step 2

Stir it in between for avoid burning.

Step 3

Ones palm dates becomes soft and water is evaporated, add tamarind pulp and mix it well.

Step 4

Now add jaggery in the mixture and stir it till jaggery completely melts in it.

Step 5

When jaggery completely melts in it, add black salt, red chili powder, chaat masala, cumin powder and salt. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 6

Turn the flame on medium and continue to cook by stirring it.

Step 7

Continue to cook till it becomes a thick paste.

Step 8

Paste must be thick and even. When it becomes thick, turn the flame off.

Step 9

Let it cool for sometime and till then cut the plastic wrap into small pieces.

Step 10

Ones the mixture completely cool, put a spoonful on a plastic wrap and cover it into a toffee shape by rolling it.

Make all the toffees with the similar process.

Your very delicious tamarind toffee are ready. You can serve it after meal and you can also store it in a refrigerator for about a month and enjoy whenever you want.
