Tamarind chutney recipe-

- Tamarind =1 cup
- Sugar or jaggery =1 ¼ cup
- Black salt =3/4 teaspoon
- Salt =1/2 teaspoon
- Raisins =1/4 cup
- Ground spices powder =1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder = 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger powder = ½ tablespoon
- Roasted cumin powder =1 teaspoon
- Asafetida (hing) =a pinch
Process for making
Soak tamarind overnight or 2 to 3 hours in warm water.
Now separate the seeds of tamarind from it. Strain the pulp with the help of strainer.
Now take a vessel, add tamarind paste, sugar or jaggery and let it boil for 5 to 6 minutes.
Now add raisins in the tamarind and let it boil for 3 minutes.
Now add salt, black salt, red chili powder, ginger powder, roasted cumin powder and ground spices powder in the tamarind mixture.
Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Your sweet and sour tamarind chutney is ready to serve.
You can store it in an airtight container and enjoy it whenever you want.
