Sweet Corn Vada Recipe | How To Make Corn Vada

Sweet Corn Vada Recipe This is an easy, crunchy and delicious vada recipe. This makes a perfect pair with tea as it is really a delicious snack. Also you can serve it with smabhar and coconut chutney for lunch or as a starter for parties. I love to make vada in different style as I have already share many variants for making vada. This one is also a quick and easy recipe. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Sweet Corn Vada

  • Sweet corn = 2 cups
  • Rice flour = 1/2 cup
  • Gram flour = 1/2 cup
  • Onion = 1, finely chopped
  • Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
  • Green chilies = 2, finely chopped
  • Carrot = 2 tbsp, grated
  • Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Ginger = 1 inch piece, grated
  • Coriander/parsley/cilantro = 2 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Oil = for frying

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly in a blender jar, add frozen or fresh sweet corns and blend them coarsely. Blend them without adding any amount of water.

Step 2

Transfer these blended corns to a mixing bowl and add green chilies, onion, carrot and grated ginger. Mix well.

Step 3

Then add gram flour and rice flour in the mixture and also dd red chili powder, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, salt and chopped parsley. Mix well and knead a smooth dough by squeezing.

Step 5

Make sure everything will combine well and evenly.

Step 6

Grease your palms with oil and then take a small portion from the prepared dough and make a round ball of it.

Step 7

Slightly flatten it and make a vada shape from it. Keep it aside and make all the vada with the similar process.

Step 8

Further, take a wok, add oil and heat it up.

Step 9

Once oil gets heated, add the prepared vada in it and fry them in a hot oil by flipping it in between. Turn the flame medium so that they cooked well from inside as well.

Step 10

Shake off the excess oil and transfer them to a plate.

Finally, you delicious sweet corn vada are now ready to serve. Serve them hot with chutney or smabhar as well and enjoy.
