Necessary Ingredients Required For Sweet Coconut Bread Roll
- Bread slices = 5
- Ghee = 1 tsp
- Fresh coconut = 1 cup, finely grated
- Jaggery (gud) = 1/2 cup, crushed
- Cashews = 10, finely chopped
- Green cardamom powder = 1/4 tsp
- Oil = for frying
How To Make These Sweet Rolls
Firstly for making these sweet rolls, take a pan put it on a flame add add ghee in it.
After melting of ghee, add grated coconut in it and saute it well for a minute. Then add crushed jaggery in it and mix well.
Continue to stir it till jaggery and coconut gets mixed evenly.
Once both ingredients gets mixed together, then add chopped cashews and green cardamom powder in it. Mix well with coconut.
After adding dry fruits in it, stir it for 2 to 3 minutes on a low to medium flame.
Once it gets mixed well, turn the flame off and keep it aside for cooling.
Till the stuffing is cooling, cut the wedges of all bread slices.
Take a bowl, add water in it and slightly or gently dip bread slice in water from both sides and then squeeze water from it by pressing it between palms.
Now in the center of the bread slice, add a tbsp of prepared stuffing and close all the corners in center.
Shape it like a ball or oval as you like by rolling it gently in your palms.
Prepare all the rolls with the similar process and keep aside.
In a pan, add oil for frying and heat it up. In a plate, add some rice flour and then coat the rolls in the rice flour so that they will not gets open while frying. Remove the excess flour by dusting rolls.
Then add the prepared rolls in oil for frying. Fry them on a medium hot oil and flip them in between so that they fried well from all the sides.
After frying, shake off all the excess oil and transfer them to the tissue paper.
Finally, your delicious sweet coconut bread roll are now ready to serve. Serve them after cooling and enjoy.
