Sweet Chili Sauce Recipe This is a delicious sweet, sour and spicy sauce which is made easily at home. This is also an integral ingredient or accompaniment for making various dishes. I am usually use this sauce as a dip with snacks or chicken as well. This makes the whole food deliciousness at another level. Basically this is a Thai sauce which is use in many Thai dishes. So if you have a lot of bottles or jars in your refrigerator so let’s get started to make homemade sauces which can be use at any time and saves your time as well. Homemade sauces are more good than the bought one. Now a days we all are getting bored at home, so let’s know how to consume this time to make many preserving recipes. Let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Sweet Chili Sauce
- Dry red chilies = 5
- Garlic = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
- White vinegar = 1/4 cup
- Sugar = 1/2 cup
- Salt = as per taste
- Corn flour = 1 tbsp
- Water = 1 cup
Instructions For Making It
Firstly in a pan add 1 cup of water and add dry red chilies in it. Put it on a flame and let it boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
Turn the flame off and blend them. Do not blend them finely, just blend it in a way so that if flakes must be appear.
Transfer this mixture to the pan and add chopped garlic, vinegar, salt and sugar. Mix well till sugar dissolves completely.
Cook for 4 to 6 minutes.
Now in a small bowl add corn flour and 2 tbsp of water and make a slurry of it.
Then add this slurry to the prepared chili mixture and mix it till it slightly thickens in consistency.
Do not overcook it otherwise it will become too thick in consistency.
Finally, turn the flame off and keep it aside for cooling.
Your delicious sweet, sour and spicy sweet chili sauce is now ready. Serve it with snacks and enjoy.
