Suji Ki Katli Recipe Hey guys!! This is a delicious sweet or dessert recipe of semolina which is mostly prepared at the time of shab-e-barat (the night of forgiveness by Allah). People make this and distribute to poor or relatives as well. This is really delicious in taste and can be made with semolina and some dry fruits. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Suji Ki Katli

  • Semolina = 2 cups
  • Sugar = 1.5 cups
  • Khoya = 1/2 cup
  • Ghee = 1.5 cup
  • Almonds = 3 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Cashews = 3 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Raisins = 2 tbsp
  • Rose water = 1 tsp
  • Green cardamom powder = 1 tsp
  • Desiccated coconut powder = 3 tbsp
  • Coconut = 2 tbsp, grated
  • Pistachios = 2 tbsp, finely chopped

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly in a pan, add half ghee and heat it up. Once ghee melts, add semolina in it and roast it well till it turns aromatic and slightly golden.

Step 2

Once it roasted well, keep aside.

Step 3

Now in another pan, add remaining ghee and 1/4 cup of water and mix it till sugar completely melts in it.

Step 4

Once sugar melts completely, add half dry fruits in it and reserve half for the garnishing. Also add rose water and green cardamom powder. Then add khoya in it and mix it till it melts.

Step 5

Give it a nice stir and now gradually add the roasted semolina in it and mix well.

Step 6

Mix it till it turns into a thick consistency.

Step 7

Till then, take a tray or a plate, grease it with ghee.

Step 8

Once the mixture turns into a thick paste, pour the mixture into the greased tray and spread it evenly.

Step 9

Now add the remaining dry fruits on it and press it slightly so that they sticks well.

Step 10

When it slightly gets cools, cut them into diamond shapes or square shapes and keep side for cooling.

Finally, your delicious suji ki katli are now ready to serve. Serve them after mealt and enjoy.

You can also store them for about 3 to 4 weeks and enjoy whenever you want.
