Soya Keema Recipe This veg keema of soy chunks is really amazing in taste and you can easily make it at your home with the easy available ingredients at your home. The taste of this keema is not less than the non veg one but if you are a vegan then this recipe or dish is absolutely a lottery for you. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Soya Keema Recipe

  • Soya chunks = 1 cup
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Onion = 1 medium size, finely chopped
  • Peas = 1/2 cup, frozen
  • Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick = 1/2 inch piece
  • Cloves = 2
  • Black cardamom = 1 pod
  • Red chili powder = 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic = 4 cloves, finely chopped
  • Ginger = 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder = 1 tsp
  • Green chili = 1, slit
  • Tomato pulp = 1/2 cup
  • Curd = 1/2 cup
  • Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander/parsley = 2 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Oil = 2 tbsp

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly in a large bowl, add 3 cups of lukewarm or hot water and then soak soy chunks in it. Soak them for 1/2 hour.

Step 2

After 1/2 hour, drain off all the water and squeeze soy chunks well and remove water as much as you can.

Step 3

Put them in a blender and blend them finely.

Step 4

Take a pan, add oil in it and heat it up. Then add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, black cardamom and saute for a while or splutter them.

Step 5

Then add chopped onion in it and saute till translucent.

Step 6

Further add ginger and chopped garlic and saute till raw smell disappears. Also add slit green chili.

Step 7

Now turn the flame low and add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Mix well so that all the spices gets mixed together.

Step 8

Further add tomato pulp in it and mix well till oil separates from the spices. Keeping the flame on low to medium and stir in between to avoid burning.

Step 9

Add frozen peas in it and add mix well with spices. Cook for 2 minutes.

Step 10

Now add whisk curd in it and mix well.

Step 11

Furthermore, add grind soy chunks and salt and mix all the ingredients together. Make sure everything gets combine evenly. Cook for about 2 minutes.

Finally, add chopped coriander in it and serve it.

Your delicious soya keema is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with chapati or paratha and enjoy.
