If no! then here I am back with a new amazing yet super delicious recipe of kebab which is really easy to make and a perfect starter or snack recipe. Let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Soya Kebab Recipe

  • Soy chunks (soyabeans) = 1 cup
  • Split chickpea (chana dal) = 1/2 cup
  • Dry red chilies = 4
  • Black cardamom = 1
  • Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
  • Cloves = 3
  • Black peppercorns = 4 to 5
  • Bay leaf = 2
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Onion = 2, finely chopped
  • Green chilies = 3, finely chopped
  • Ginger = 1 inch piece
  • Garlic = 3 to 4 cloves
  • Coriander/parsley = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Oil = for shallow fry

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly wash and rinse soya chunks well and then soak them for about half an hour in lukewarm water. Also soak chana dal in separate bowl for about half an hour.

Step 2

Squeeze out the excess water from the soy chunks. Transfer dal and soy chunks into the pressure cooker and also add 1 cup of water in a pressure cooker.

Step 3

Now add bay leaf, cloves, black cardamom, dry red chilies, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, salt, ginger and garlic.

Step 4

Cover the and pressure cook it till 3 to 4 whistles on a medium flame or till dal gets cooked perfectly.

Step 5

Once it is cooked well. Turn the flame off and keep it aside for cooling.

Step 6

Once it is cool, remove the bay leaf from it. Now grind it by transfer it to a grinder or food processor. Make a thick paste from the mixture. Do not add water in it while grinding otherwise it will become difficult to make kebab from them.

Step 7

Now transfer them to a mixing bowl and add chopped green chilies, onion and coriander. Mix well.

Step 8

Now take a small part from the mixture, roll it and make a ball from it. Slightly press from the center as well as from sides and make a kebab from it. Similarly make all kebabs with the similar process.

Step 9

Now in a pan, add oil and heat it up. Then add the prepared kebab in it and fry them till they turn in a beautiful golden brown in color. Flip them and fry them from the other side as well.

Finally, your delicious soya kebab are now ready. Serve them hot with laccha paratha, or chapati with green chutney, onion slices and lemon wedges. Enjoy.
