Ingredients Required For Soya Chunks With Spinach
- Spinach = 250 gm
- Soya chunks = 1 cup
- Tomato = 3 medium size
- Green chilies = 3
- Ginger = 1 inch piece
- Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder = 1 tsp
- Red chili powder = 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
- Gram flour = 1 tbsp
- Dry fenugreek leaves or kasuri methi = 2 tbsp
- Butter = 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice = 1 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Oil = 2 tbsp
Instructions For Making It Step By Step
Step 1
Take a pan, add water in it and bring it to a boil, Turn the flame off. Now add soya chunks in water and soak it for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 2
Wash spinach well and in another pan, boil it for 5 to 8 minutes. After sometime, transfer blanched spinach in a plate.
Step 3
Take a blender jar, add tomato, ginger and green chilies and blend it to make a smooth paste.
Step 4
In a pan, pour oil and heat it up.
Step 5
After heating of oil, add cumin seeds in it and let it splutter for few seconds.
Step 6
Add coriander powder in a pan and mix it well.
Step 7
Now add tomato, ginger and green chili puree and mix it well.
Step 8
Also add red chili powder in it and let it cook on a medium flame by continuously stirring it.
Step 9
Stir it till oil separates from gravy.
Step 10
Take a blender jar, add blanched spinach and blend it into a coarse paste.
Step 11
When oil starts separating, add crushed kasuri methi in it and mix it well.
Step 12
In a small bowl, add gram flour and make a paste of it by adding water in it.
Step 13
Add 1/2 cup of water in gram flour and gradually add it into a curry.
Step 14
Stir it continuously and let it cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
Step 15
Finally add spinach in it and mix it well with the spices, add 1/2 cup of water in spinach and you can also adjust water as per your required consistency.
Step 16
Add salt and garam masala powder in it and mix it well.
Step 17
Cover the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Step 18
Now squeeze the water from soaked soya chunks and add them in a curry. Mix it well and let it cook for 5 minutes by covering the lid.
Step 19
Finally, add lemon juice and butter and serve it.
Your soya wadi wwith palaak curry is ready to serve. Serve it hot with puri, paratha, roti or rice.
