Roti Halwa Recipe Today I am sharing a recipe which is made by the leftover roti. Almost at all the houses we have roti left at night which cannot be used or eaten next time by most if the people. So instead of wasting these precious roti, you can easily make halwa out of it and trust me this becomes so delicious in taste. Who knows that simple leftover roti becomes too useful in the other way. So let’s know how to make this delicious halwa at home.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Roti Halwa Recipe

  • Leftover roti (basi roti) = 5
  • Pure ghee = 5 tbsp
  • Milk = 1/2 cup
  • Sugar = 1/2 cup
  • Green cardamom powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Cashews = 5, chopped
  • Almonds = 5, chopped
  • Raisins = 1 tsp

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly break roti into small pieces, you can also add them to the grinder jar and grind them finely.

Step 2

Now in a pan, add ghee and heat it up. Then add the grind roti in it and fry it for 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame.

Step 3

You will see that roti absorbs all the ghee well, then you have to add sugar and green cardamom powder in it and cook it on a medium flame till sugar melts in it. Once the sugar melts, add milk in it and mix it well.

Step 4

Turn the flame on high and cook it by continuously stirring it. When you add milk in it, you will see that roti becomes soft, cook it till roti becomes soft and turns into a halwa consistency.

Step 5

You have to continuously stirring it and roast it well otherwise the raw smell of roti comes from it.

Step 6

After cooking it well, add chopped almonds and cashews in it.

Finally, your delicious roti ka halwa is now ready to serve. Serve it hot and enjoy.
