Rajma Kebab Recipe Welcome back foodies!! Today I am sharing a delicious recipe of veg kebab which I have made with kidney beans (rajma). These kebabs are also known as rajma galouti kebab. The texture and the taste of these kebab is just amazing and they are healthy too as kidney beans are good for our digestion and cures our gastric problems as well. This recipe does not require much ingredients, just basic ingredients it need which are easily available in every kitchen. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Rajma Kebab
- Kidney beans (rajma) = 1 cup, soaked
- Salt = 1/4 tsp
- Water = for boiling rajma
- Green chili = 2
- Green cardamom = 2 pods
- Fried onions = 2 tbsp
- Coriander = 2 tbsp
- Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Gram flour = 1/4 cup, roasted
- Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Rose water = 1 tsp
- Oil = for roasting
Instructions For Making It
Firstly take a pressure cooker and add soaked kidney beans in it and add enough water so that they boiled well and tendered. Also add salt in it and pressure cook it until 3 to 4 whistles or till it cooked well.
In a grinder jar, add green chili, coriander, fried onions and green cardamom pods and grind them to make a fine paste of it. Add a dash of water if needed while grinding.
Once rajma cooks well, transfer it to a mixing bowl without having water in it and mash them well with the help of potato masher.
Now add ginger and garlic paste, red chili powder, salt, garam masala powder, roasted gram flour and rose water.
Mix everything well and even and make sure every ingredient gets mixed and combine with each other.
Now take a small portion from the mixture and make a round shape of it. Slightly flatten it to shape it as a tikki or kebab and keep aside. Make all the kebab with the similar process.
Take a griddle add 2 tbsp of oil in it and heat it up.
Then add the prepared kebab into the griddle and roast them on a medium flame till they turn golden or cooked well. Flip them after a minute and cooked from the other side as well.
Fry all the kebab with the similar process.
Finally, your delicious rajma kebab are now ready to serve. Serve them hot with green chutney and some onion slices. You can also serve them with paratha or rice or chapati as well.
