Potato Crackers Recipe I hope you guys are doing well. Today I am sharing a delicious snack or breakfast recipe which is really really amazing in taste. You can make it and give to your kids in their lunch box or you can serve them as a snack as they are so delicious as you have to make them in a bulk quantity for sure. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Potato Crackers

  • Potato = 1 large, grated
  • All purpose flour = 2 cups
  • Gram flour = 1 cup
  • Carom seeds = 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder = 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Oil = 3 tbsp
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Asafoetida = 2 pinch
  • Oil = for deep frying

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly in a mixing bowl, sieve gram flour and all purpose flour. Then add carom seeds, garam masala powder, red chili powder, black pepper powder, salt, asafoetida and mix all the ingredients well and even.

Step 2

Further add ginger and garlic paste and also add 3 tbsp of oil in it. Mix all the ingredients till flour comes together. Keep it aside.

Step 3

Grate potatoes and add them to the cold water so that the starch gets remove from it and they will separate from each other. After 10 minutes, drain off all the water from potatoes and add the to the flour mixture.

Step 4

Now gradually add water in it and knead a dough like mixture from the flour.

Step 5

Divide the dough into 2 parts and then make a big round ball of it. Dust some flour on the surface and then flatten the ball by using rolling pin.

Step 6

Flatten it into a semi thick shape and by using cookie cutter or knife, cut the shapes out of it. You can cut any shape you like, here I have cut squares of it.

Step 7

Heat oil in a wok and then after oil becomes medium hot, add these squares in it and fry them till they turn golden and crisp. Flip them in between so that they must not burn.

Step 8

Do not overcrowd the wok, add limited shapes at a time so that they cooked well. Shake off the excess oil and transfer them on a kitchen paper to remove extra oil. Fry another batch with the similar process.

Finally, here your delicious potato crackers are now ready to serve. Serve them hot with tomato ketchup of mayonnaise or any other dip. Enjoy.
