Tasty Potato- semolina bites for breakfast

So today’s recipe is about potato and semolina bite snack recipe. You can give this snack to your children’s lunch box because this recipe is mostly liked by children and easy to make within no time. Also it does not require so many ingredients. The things which is used in it are easily available in your kitchen. The crispy texture and crispy bite from it makes it delicious and make you like dil maange more!!!

Potato and semolina bites recipe-

Ingredients required for making potato and semolina bite

  • Semolina (suji) =1 cup
  • Potato= 1 medium size (grated)
  • Salt =1/2 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes =1/3 tablespoon
  • Chaat Masala =as per taste
  • Oil =for frying

Procedure to make this recipe-

Step 1-

Switch on the flame, put a deep pan on the flame and add semolina (suji) in the pan. Roast the semolina for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 2-

Ones it starts roasting, add chili flakes and salt in it.

(If you do not have chili flakes, you may also use red chili powder)

Step 3-

Mix all the things very well.

Now add potatoes in semolina and them together for 5 to 6 minutes.

Step 4-

Slow down the flame and cook it for more 3 to 4 minutes on slow flame.

Now add 1 cup water little by little in the mixture and mix it well by continuously stirring it.

(we do not have to make it thin. We have to make it in dough like consistency)

Now switch off the flame and cover the lid on the pan.

Step 5-

Ones its get cooled; start making bites from the dough.

Take any soft plastic bag and spread it on the surface.

Grease it with some oil.


Take a deep pan, pour oil in it for frying and let it heat on the flame.

Now take a portion from the dough and make a ball from it. Put the ball on the plastic and make it flat by using your hands or finger. You have to make a chapatti or roti shape from the ball.

Step 7-

Do not make it too thin.

Now with the help of a knife or pizza cutter, cut it into a shape of French fries.

Make all the bites by using the same procedure.

Step 8-

Now they are ready for frying.

Now fry the potato-semolina bytes one by one.

Let them fry until the color of our potato-semolina bites gets converted into light golden. Fry them from both the sides until they come crispy.

Step 9-

Our potato-semolina bites are ready.

Serve them by sprinkle some chaat Masala on the bites and with some sauce.
