Poha Palak Cutlet Recipe | Flattened Rice And Spinach Cutlet

Poha Palak Cutlet This is a unique and tasty cutlet recipe which you can easily make at home and serve it as an evening snack. The method and preparation are so easy that you can make them within every 5 to 6 days. The minimum ingredients are required for making these cutlet and though instead of deep frying you can also shallow fry them. So let’s know how to make them.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Poha Palak Cutlet

  • Flattened Rice or poha = 150 gm
  • Spinach (palak) = 1 cup, finely chopped
  • Potato = 4 to 5, boiled
  • Green coriander = 2 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Ginger = 1 tsp, grated
  • Green chilies = 3, finely chopped
  • Red chili powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Dry mango powder (amchoor) = 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder = 1 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Oil = for frying

Instructions For Making It In Easy Step By Step

Step 1

Firstly, take poha in a strainer and wash it for 2 to 3 times to turn it soft.

Step 2

Add little water in poha and keep it aside for 5 minutes

Step 3

Peel off the boiled potatoes and grate the potatoes.

Step 4

Squeeze the excess water from poha and add it into boiled and grated potatoes.

Step 5

Also add chopped spinach in it and then add ginger, salt, red chili powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, dry mango powder, coriander powder, chopped green chilies and coriander.

Mix all the things well with the help of spoon or by hands. Make sure that everything gets mixed evenly.

Our mixture or dough is ready for making cutlet.

Now take a pan, pour oil in it and heat it up.

Grease your hands with oil and Take a portion from the mixture, roll it in your hands, make a ball like shape and slightly press it to make it flatten.

Make all the cutlet with the similar process.

Now add these cutlet in oil for frying. When cutlet start turning brown and crispy, flip it and fry it from the other side.

After frying cutlet, drain the excess oil and fry another batch.

Your cutlet are ready to serve. Serve them hot with sauces.
