About the recipe- Bread pakora is an Indian fried snack. This snack recipe is mostly liked by children as today I am going to make plain bread pakora which is a cup of tea to make. Bread pakora are made by dipping bread slices into a gram flour batter by adding some basic spices and is also made stuffed bread pakora by stuffing of boiled potato, onion, green chilies and many other ingredients. When you are too busy or you have a very less time then you can easily make this bread pakora for breakfast or for your kids lunch box within no time. So today I am making this in a simple way. Let’s know my easy recipe of bread pakora.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Plain Bread Pakora
- Bread slices = 5 to 6
- Gram flour = 1/2 cup or 2 tbsp
- Red chili powder = 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder = a pinch
- Baking soda = one pinch
- Salt = as per taste
- Ajwain or carom seeds = 1/8 tsp
- Cumin seeds = 1/4 tsp
- Garlic paste = 1/2 tsp
- Oil = for frying
- Water = as required for making batter
Method Of Making
Take a bowl, add gram flour in it and also add all dry ingredients like red chili powder, turmeric powder, baking soda, salt, cumin seeds and garlic paste.
Mix all the ingredients well with gram flour and then gradually add water for making a flow consistency batter. Make sure that batter must not too thick nor too thin.
Now cut the slices of bread as per your wish.
Now take a deep fry pan, pour oil in it and heat it up on a high flame.
Take a slice of bread and dip it into a batter.
Now put this bread in heated oil and fry it on a medium high flame.
Flip it time to time so that it should not burn.
Make all the bread pakoras like the mentioned process.
Put them in a plate and serve it with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
You can also sprinkle some chaat masala on it if you want.
- You can also add finely chopped onion, green chili and coriander for taste.
- You can also add rice flour into gram flour o make it more crispier.
