Pista Badam Barfi Recipe Pista means pistachios and badam refers to the almonds. This pista badam barfi is one of my favorite sweet which I love eating it. On the occasion of diwali, if you want to make sweets at your home then give try to this recipe as it is just lip smacking and the best part is that you can also store it for months. The flavor of pista in this is just amazing. Let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Pista Badam Barfi

  • Almonds = 200 gm
  • Pistachios = 200 gm
  • Sugar = 1 cup
  • Milk powder = 3 tbsp
  • Green food color = few drops
  • Ghee = 2 tsp
  • Hot water = 1 cup
  • Green cardamom powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Almonds and pistachios = 2 tbsp, finely chopped

Instructions Of Making In Simple Steps

Step 1

Take bowl, add hot water in it and soak almonds for 30 minutes.

Step 2

After 30 minutes, peel off the almonds and put them aside. Pat dry them.

Step 3

Take a blender jar, add soaked almonds in it and also add pistachios. Blend it into a fine powder.

Step 4

Now take a pan, add water in it and then add sugar. Let the sugar completely dissolves in water.

Step 5

Bring it to a boil and then boil it till one string consistency appears.

Step 6

Now after one string consistency is appeared, add almonds and pistachios powder, milk powder.

Step 7

Also add green food color and mix it well on a low flame.

Step 8

Cook it till mixture turns into a thick paste.

Step 9

Once it begins to boil, add ghee and cardamom powder in it and mix it well.

Step 10

Now take a tray, grease it with oil or place a butter paper on it.

Step 11

Pour this mixture on a tray and evenly spread it.

Step 14

Now add chopped almonds and pistachios, and press slightly.

Step 15

Let the paste set for 15 to 20 minutes and then cut the paste into pieces.

Your pista badam barfi is ready to serve. Serve it and enjoy with your friends and family.
