Peanut Chutney Recipe | Groundnut Chutney | Mungfali Chutney

Peanut Chutney Recipe As we all know that south Indian cuisine is really delicious in taste and healthy too. They make food with the healthy ingredients, so today here I am sharing a most popular and delicious recipe of peanut chutney which is mostly served with the south Indian food. Mainly for dosa and idli. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Peanut Chutney

  • Peanut = 1 cup
  • Oil = 2 tsp
  • Urad dal = 1 tsp
  • Chana dal = 1 tsp
  • Green chilies = 4
  • Garlic = 4 cloves
  • Tamarind pulp = 2 tsp
  • Water = as required

For Tempering

  • Oil = 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds = 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves = few leaves
  • Dry red chilies = 2
  • Urad dal = 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida = 1/4 tsp

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly take a pan, heat it up and add peanuts in it.

Step 2

Dry roast them till they turn slightly golden and peel separates from it. Make sure you continuously stirring it while roasting it.

Step 3

Keep aside for cooling and remove the skin of peanuts.

Step 4

Take a tadka pan, add oil in it and heat it up.

Step 5

Then add urad dal in it and then add chana dal. Let them splutter for few seconds or until they turn golden in color.

Step 6

Then add green chilies and garlic cloves and saute for few seconds. Turn the flame off.

Step 7

Take a grinder jar, add peanuts in it and then add the prepared roasting ingredients in it. Add salt and tamarind pulp in it.

Step 8

Also add water and grind them well into a fine paste.

Step 9

Transfer this to a bowl.

For Tempering

Step 1

Take a tempering pan, add oil and heat it up.

Step 2

Further add mustard seeds and let them splutter for few seconds and then add dry red chilies, urad dal and curry leaves. Saute for a while and then add asafoetida in it.

Step 3

Turn the flame off and now pour this tempering to the prepared chutney.

Finally, your delicious peanut chutney is now ready to serve. Serve it with idli or dosa and enjoy.
