Paneer Corn Sabzi Recipe A perfect recipe for the vegan is nothing but a delicious sweet corn and paneer (cottage cheese) sabzi which goes very well with naan or paratha or chapati. This unique and delicious corn and paneer combination already gives me mouth watering as it is really delicious in taste. So without wasting more time, let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Paneer Corn Sabzi
- Cottage cheese = 250 gm
- Sweet Corns = 1 cup
- Green peas = 2 tbsp (optional)
- Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
- Onion = 2, finely chopped
- Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
- Bay leaf = 2
- Black cardamom = 1
- Cinnamon stick = 1 inch piece
- Tomato puree = 1/2 cup
- Kashmiri red chili powder = 1.5 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder = 1 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
- Oil = 5 tbsp
Instructions For Making It
Firstly in a pan, add oil and heat it up. Then add cumin seeds in it and let them splutter for few seconds.
Now add cinnamon stick, bay leaf and black cardamom pod and let them splutter also. Further add chopped onions in it and saute till it turns soft or pinkish in color.
Add ginger and garlic paste in it ans saute for a minute or till raw smell disappears.
After 2 minutes, add pureed tomato in it and cook for a while and then add red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, black pepper powder and garam masala powder. Mix all spices well till oil oozes from the mixture and stir it continuously so that it should not burn. Cook it on a medium to low flame.
Furthermore, add frozen peas and sweet corn in it and saute with the curry and then add 1/2 cup of water in it and mix well. Cover the lid and let it cook for about 5 minutes on a low flame.
After 5 minutes, open the lid and add cottage cheese cubes in gravy and give it a nice stir. Again cover the lid for 2 minutes and cook.
Finally, give it a final look by adding some chopped coriander leaves and transfer to the serving bowl.
Your delicious sweet corn paneer sabzi is done. Serve it hot with naan or chapati or paratha or steamed rice. Enjoy.
