How to make palak puri easily at home, palak puri recipe

Hey foodies!!! I hope you guys are doing well.

Well as you all know that how healthy spinach is and how many nutritional values and iron are contains in it. But the difficult part of our life is that children do not like to eat spinach in any way. So here I am going to tell you that how to feed spinach to the children in a yummy and healthy way. Today we are going to make palak puri.

So without wasting any time, let’s get started-

Required ingredients for making palak puri-

  • Wheat flour = 2 cup
  • Spinach = ½ kilogram
  • Butter or ghee = 2 to 3 teaspoon (for kneading the dough)
  • Ginger paste = 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds powder = 1 teaspoon
  • Yogurt = ½ cup
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Oil = for frying
  • Green chili paste = 1 teaspoon

Method for making spinach puri-

Step 1

Wash the spinach leaves well and take a pan, put 2 cups of water in it.

Let the spinach boil for few minutes and them drain the water from spinach.

Step 2

Take a grinder, put boiled spinach in it and make a paste from the spinach by grinding it.

Step 3

Now take a bowl, add wheat flour, spinach paste, cumin seeds powder, ginger paste, green chili paste, yogurt, ghee and salt. Mix all the ingredients well and make dough from it.

‘Remember that dough will not so hard or too soft’.

Knead a soft dough and kep it aside for 20 minutes by cover a lid on it.

Step 4

Now after 20 minutes, knead dough for 2 to 3 times.

Now dough is ready for making puri.

Step 5

Take a small portion from dough and make a round ball from it.

Flatten the ball with the help of your palm and make a shape of puri from it.

Make all the puri from dough.

Step 6

Now take a deep fry pan, heat oil in it and fry spinach puri one by one from both the sides until it cook well and turn into light golden in color.

Your spinach puri is ready to serve.

Serve them hot with chili pickle, yogurt or mango pickle.

You can also serve this puri with dry aloo sabji.
