Onion Rava Dosa Recipe This rava dosa recipe is really crispy and delicious in taste. It does not need time for soaking and blending and fermenting as it is an instant rava dosa recipe. Also onion is added in it to make it more tastier than the other dosa. This is also referred to as a healthy dosa recipe which you can easily make for breakfast. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Onion Rava Dosa
- Semolina (rave/suji) = 1/2 cup
- Fine flour = 1/2 cup
- Rice flour = 1/2 cup
- Salt = as per taste
- Curd = 1 tbsp
- Onion = 1, finely chopped
- Black pepper = 1/2 tsp, crushed
- Coriander/parsley = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
- Green chili = 1, finely chopped
- Water = as required
- Oil = for roasting
Instructions For Making It
Firstly, in a mixing bowl, add semolina (suji), fine flour (maida), rice flour. Mix all the dry ingredients well.
Then add curd and salt in it and mix well. Add 2 cups of water in it and mix well. Add more water if required while making the batter.
Whisk well and make sure that batter will be lumps free. Keep it aside.
Now finely chop onion, green chilies, coriander and add them to the batter and mix well.
Furthermore, add cumin powder, black pepper powder and also add 1 cup of water or more to make a running watery consistency batter. This will require more water as suji absorbs water quickly.
Keep this batter aside to rest for about 20 minutes.
Heat a griddle and pour this batter by using ladle and make sure you pour this batter on a very hot griddle.
Roast it now on a medium flame and add some oil on corners. Let the dosa cook till it turns golden and crisp.
Finally, fold dosa and serve.
Your delicious onion rava dosa is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with coconut chutney or sambhar or peanut chutney. Enjoy.
