Pyaaz ka Paratha | Onion Paratha Recipe

Onion Paratha is one of my favorite paratha recipe, which I loved eating when I want to eat something delicious. You have tried a lot of paratha recipe, but have you ever tried onion paratha? If no, then you must try this because you will going to love this as the flavor of onion makes its tastes sweet and chilies makes it spicy. You can also give this to your kids in their lunch box and I am sure they will love it. Let’s know how to make it at home.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Onion Paratha

Dough

  • Wheat flour = 2 cups
  • Oil = 1.5 tbsp
  • Salt = as required
  • Water = as required for kneading a dough

For Stuffing

  • Onion = 3, small size, finely chopped
  • Green chilies = 2 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Red chili powder = 1.5 tsp
  • Cumin powder = 1 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste

Method of making

Step 1

Take a bowl, add flour in it and add salt, ajwain in it. Mix it well.

Step 2

Gradually add oil and mix it with flour.

Step 3

Now frequently add water and knead a dough from it.

Step 4

Take another bowl, add chopped chilies, onions, salt, red chili powder and cumin powder in it. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 5

Now take a portion from a dough and make small balls from it.

Step 5

Flatten the ball with the help of hands and then add stuffing in it.

Step 6

Cover the corners of dough and then make a ball from it.

Step 7

Flatten the stuffed ball again by dusting some dry flour on it and make a paratha shape from it.

Step 8

Take a pan or tawa, add partha on it and grease some oil on the top of it.

Step 9

Cook it until golden in color and flip it.

Step 10

Cook it from the other side as well and fry the corners also.

Step 11

Make all the paratha with the mentioned process.

Your onion paratha is ready.

Serve it with chutney, sauce or pickle.
