No Onion No garlic Rajma Recipe | How To Make Rajma Without Onion And Garlic

No Onion No Garlic Rajma is a very simple and easy recipe which you can cook without adding onion and garlic. Necessary Ingredients We Required

  • Kidney beans or Rajma = 400 gm
  • Tomato = 5 medium size, puree
  • Oil = 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf = 2 nos.
  • Black Cardamom = 2 nos.
  • Ginger = 1 inch, finely chopped
  • Green chilies = 3 nos, finely chopped
  • Red Chili powder = 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder = 1 tbsp
  • Asafoetida = 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Cashew nuts paste = 2 tbsp
  • Salt = to taste
  • Water = as required
  • Kasuri methi = 1 tsp
  • Garam masala = 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice = 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves = 1 tbsp

Method Of Making No Onion No Garlic Rajma

Step 1

In a bowl add rajma and water and soak the rajma for 4 to 5 hours.

Step 2

Now transfer the rajma in a pressure cooker and boil the rajma with 2 to 3 whistle.

Step 3

In a pan heat oil and add the cumin seeds, bay leaf, black cardamom and saute it for a while.

Step 4

Now add the chopped ginger and green chilies and saute.

Step 5

Add the red chili powder, coriander powder,turmeric powder, asafoetida and mix everything well for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Now add the cashew nuts paste and mix for 2 minutes.

Step 7

Add the tomato puree and salt cook until the oil gets separate.

Step 8

Add the boiled rajma with its water and bring to a boil and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 9

Now add the kasuri methi, garam masala powder and give it a quick mix.

Step 10

Add lemon juice and garnish it with coriander leaves.

Your no onion no garlic rajma is now ready to serve. Enjoy it hot with rice or chapatis.
