Moong Dal Pakode Recipe These are a crispy pakora recipe which you can make in your evening tea time snack. This pakoda recipe is more crispier than the other pakora. The flavor of moong dal and potatoes makes these pakora delicious than the other. These pakora goes well with mint chutney or green chutney. In monsoon or in winter season, the taste of these fritters comes out amazing. So let’s know how to make them.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Moong Dal Pakode
- Yellow Moong dal = 1/2 cup, soaked for 2 hours
- Potato = 2, medium size, finely chopped
- Onion = 1 medium size, finely chopped
- Green chilies = 2
- Ginger = 1 inch piece
- Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
- Red chili powder = 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder = 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder = 1/4 tsp
- Chaat masala powder = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Oil = for deep frying
Procedure For Making Step By Syep
Wash dal 2 to 3 times and let it soak for 2 hours.
After 2 hours, drain all the water from it and put it in a blender jar, also add ginger and green chilies with it and blend it to make a paste. Add little water if needed.
Add this paste in a mixing bowl, along with it, add chopped potatoes and onion. Mix all the things well.
Now add red chili powder, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chaat masala and salt. Mix all the things evenly.
Take a kadai, add oil in it and heat it up.
After heating of oil, add small balls from the mixture into the oil by using hands or spoon.
Do not overcrowd the kadai.
Turn the flame medium and fry pakora. Flip them in between to avoid burning and fry them till they turn golden brown in color and crispier.
Ones the pakora are fried, shake them to remove the excess oil and put them on a kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
Fry another batch from the mixture and make pakora with the similar process.
Your delicious and crispy moong dal pakode are ready to serve. Serve them hot with sauces.
