Moong Bread Vada Recipe This moong dal vada is a unique vada recipe as the crunchiness and taste is different from the other vada recipes. This is also a healthy vada recipe as I am going to use moong dal in it which is high in protein. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Moong Bread Vada
- Bread slices = 8 to 10
- Moong dal = 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
- Ginger = 1 inch piece
- Coriander powder = 1 tsp
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves = 8 to 10
- Sesame seeds = 1 tbsp
- Green chili = 2
- Green coriander = few leaves
- Dry mango powder = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Oil = for frying
Instructions For Making It
Firstly clean and wash moong dal well, soak them in water for about 2 hours. Now after 2 hours, drain off all the water from it and put it to a grinder jar.
Now add curry leaves, ginger, green chili, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, sesame seeds, salt, dry mango powder. Grind all the ingredients with dal without adding any amount of water in it.
Cut the sides or wedges of bread slices or simply take a glass or cookies cutter, cut the round shapes of bread.
Now take one circle of bread and apply this prepared mixture of dal on it. Gently flip it and prick it by using force on the bread side. The extra amount of water will soaked by bread.
Heat some oil in a pan, we are going to shallow fry them. After heating of oil, add this vada on the dal side in oil and fry it till it turns golden and crisp.
Gently flip it and fry it from the other side as well.
Fry all the vada with the similar process.
Finally, your delicious moong dal vada is now ready to serve. Serve them hot with green chutney or sauce and enjoy.
