Mirchi Pakora This is one of my favorite pakora recipe, chili pakora are mirch pakora is something that you need when you wanna eat something spicy. Although they are made with less spicy chilies but the taste of this pakora is amazing. As I have shared a lot of pakora or fritters recipe but this one is my favorite. Let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Mirchi Pakora
- Green chilies = 8 to 10, mild spicy and long
- Gram flour = 1 cup
- Rice flour = 2 tbsp
- Red chili powder = 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Garlic paste = 1/2 tsp
- Carom seeds or ajwain = 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seeds = 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda = a pinch
- Dry mango powder = 1 tsp
- Crushed cumin seeds = 1 tsp
- Asafoetida or hing = a pinch
- Water = as needed
- Oil = for deep frying
Instructions For Making Batter
Take a bowl, add gram flour in it and also add rice flour. Mix both the flours well.
Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, cumin seeds, carom seeds, asafoetida and garlic paste.
Mix all the ingredients well and then add water in it to make a thick batter.
Now add baking powder and mix it gently so that baking powder must not loose its property.
Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
Preparation of Chilies
Take chilies and rinse them in water.
Now make a slit in them and remove its seeds.
Take a small bowl, add crushed cumin, dry mango powder and salt. Mix them well.
Take a slit chili stuff this mixture in it.
Stuff all the chilies. Make sure that you don’t over stuff them, this mixture is only stuff to make chilies sour and salty.
After stuffing all the chilies, keep them aside.
Take a pan, pour oil in it and heat it up.
After heating up of oil, take a chili, dip it into a batter and coat it completely.
Add chili into oil and with the same process, add 4 to 5 chilies in a pan.
Fry chilies til golden brown and flip them occasionally.
Drain the excess oil by shaking it and put them in a plate.
Fry the remaining chilies and serve them.
Your mirchi pakora are ready to serve, serve them hot by sprinkle some chaat masala and a dip of green chutney or sauce.
