Necessary Ingredients Required For Milk Powder Barfi

  • Powdered milk = 2 cups, full fat powder
  • Full fat milk = 1/2 cups
  • Sugar = 1/2 cup
  • Green cardamom = 10
  • Pure ghee = 5 tbs
  • Pistachios = for garnishing, finely chopped

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly, in which you are going to st barfi, grease that tray with butter or line it with butter paper. Keep it aside.

Step 2

Now in a grinder jar, add sugar and grind it to make a fine powder of it. Then add green cardamom and grind it to make a fine powder or you can also use green cardamom powder directly.

Step 3

Take a non stick pan, add ghee in it and add ghee in it and let it melt for sometime, keep it on a low flame.

Step 4

Then add half cup of milk in it and mix it well.

Step 5

Now gradually add powdered milk in it and continuously stir it to make it a lumps free mixture. Make sure you have to do this step on a low flame otherwise it will get burn thoroughly.

Step 6

Once the milk powder gets mixed with milk, add powdered sugar in it and mix it well with the other ingredients, also add green cardamom powder in it.

Step 7

Now turn the flame on medium because by adding sugar powder in it, it will become in a liquid form and we have to make it in a thick batter so keep cooking it by continually stirring it. Cook it till the mixture turns even and comes together and starts leaving the pan as well.

Step 8

Further turn the flame off, spread this mixture in a line tray and tap it to make it even and then add some chopped pistachios.

Step 9

Put the tray aside for cooling at room temperature for about 2 hours.

Finally, your delicious and easy milk powder barfi is ready. Serve this soft and delicious barfi and enjoy.
