Necessary Ingredients Required For Methi Chutney

  • Coconut = 1/2 cup
  • Fenugreek seeds or methi = 1/2 tsp
  • Dry red chilies = 3
  • Garlic = 3 cloves
  • Curry leaves = 3 to 4
  • Tamarind pulp = 1 tsp
  • Jaggery = 2 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Water = as required
  • Oil = 2 tsp

Method Of Making In Easy Steps

Step 1

Take a pan, add oil in it and heat it up.

Step 2

After heating up of oil, add fenugreek seeds and let it splutter for few seconds.

Step 3

Now add dry red chilies, garlic cloves and curry leaves. Saute it for few seconds.

Step 4

Now let it cool.

Step 5

Take a blender jar, add chilies, garlic and curry leaves in it.

Step 6

Also add tamarind pulp, coconut, jaggery and salt.

Step 7

Blend it into a smooth paste. Add water as required.

Step 8

Take another pan, add oil in it and heat it up.

Step 9

Add mustard seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Let these things splutter for few moments and then add paste in it.

Step 10

Let it cook for 2 to 4 minutes.

Your methi chutney is ready to serve. Enjoy it.
