Meethi Dahi Phulki Recipe This is one of the most delicious Ramadan special recipe as this is very easy, quick and delicious to eat. This dish of meethi dahi phulki does not need much efforts and ingredients for making as all it requires in making are gram flour, curd and sugar. The phulki are fried and they are soaked into the sweet sugar. They taste more good when they served chilled. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Meethi Dahi Phulki
- Gram flour = 1 cup
- Curd = 3 cups
- Powdered sugar = 5 to 6 tbsp
- Salt = 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda = 1/4 tsp
- Chaat masala powder = 1/2 tsp
- Roasted Cumin powder = 1/4 tsp
- Tamarind chutney = 1 tbsp
- Pistachios = chopped, for garnishing
- Oil = for deep frying
Instructions For Making It
Firstly sieve gram flour in a mixing bowl and then add salt and baking soda in it. Mix well.
Now gradually add water in it and make a smooth lump free batter from the flour. Make sure the batter must not be too thick nor in runny consistency and beat the batter till it turns out to be fluffy.
Cover the batter and keep it aside for 10 to 12 minutes.
In a separate bowl, add curd and whisk it. Then add powdered sugar in it and mix well. Put it in a refrigerator for cooling.
Take a pan or a wok, add oil in it and heat it up.
Once the oil gets medium hot, drop a little batter in a wok and make small phulki from it.
Don’t move them for 1 minute until they get perfectly fluffy. Then flip them and fry them till a beautiful golden color appears on it.
In a bowl, add water and then add fried phulki in it and soak them for about 5 to 7 minutes.
After soaking them squeeze out the excess water and then add them to the sweet curd.
Finally, sprinkle some salt, chaat masala powder, roasted cumin powder and tamarind chutney.
Top it by adding some chopped pistachios and serve. Enjoy your meethi dahi phulki.
