Mango Sweet Pickle Recipe | Gujarati Style Aam Ka Meetha Achaar

Mango Sweet Pickle Recipe Nothing is more good than having a sweet spicy and sour pickle with meal. Hey guys!! Today I am going to share a delicious recipe of sweet pickle of mango which has three flavors in it. This works for me as a jam or chutney or pickle. I just make a simple paratha and spread this pickle all over the paratha, roll it and taking a bite is now a days favorite meal of mine. I would like to share this recipe because it is really amazing in taste and kids will surely loved it. Also is it really easy to make. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Mango Sweet Pickle

  • raw mango = 3 cups, peeled and grated
  • Sugar = 2 cups
  • Red chili powder = 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Roasted cumin powder = 1 tsp

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, add grated raw mangoes with some salt and turmeric powder. Mix all the ingredients well and keep it aside for sometime.

Step 2

After sometime, drain off all the water and take a muslin cloth, add this grated mango mixture into the cloth and hang it on a tap so that all the excess water gets drained off.

Step 3

Once all the water gets drained from it, add it to the jar or a vessel and add sugar in it. Mix it with a dry spoon and cover it with a cloth, you can tie cloth instead of lid and put it in sunlight for about 10 days.

Step 4

Every morning, mix it with a clean and dry spoon and put it in sunlight.

Step 5

After the mixture turns thick and sugar syrup turns thick in consistency, add red chili powder and roasted cumin powder in it. Mix well.

Finally, your delicious Gujarati aam ka meetha achaar is now ready to serve. Serve it with meal or paratha and enjoy this sweet and spicy mango sweet pickle. You can also store this in a container for about 3 to 4 weeks.
