I am making khoya and paneer at home, but if you wanna use ready made then you can use it as well. You can also store these laddu for 4 to 5 days. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Malai Ladoo
For Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
- Milk = 1 litre, full cream
- Lemon juice = 1 tbsp
- Milk powder = 1/2 cup
- Milk = 2 tbsp
- Ghee = 1/2 tsp
- Full cream = 1/4 cup
- Condensed milk = 1/2 cup
- Green cardamom powder = 1/4 tsp
- Dry fruits = 2 tsp, finely chopped
Instructions For Making it
For making paneer, take a pan, add milk and boil it. Then turn the flame low and add lemon juice in it and mix well till it starts crumbling. Turn the flame off and keep it aside.
Once it cools slightly, take a muslin cloth and strain it in cloth. Squeeze out all the water from it and then tie a tight knot to freeze the paneer. Keep it aside by putting a heavy weight on it. (you can also take ready made paneer as well). After 4 to 5 hours, your paneer will be ready or depends on the quality of milk.
In a pan, add milk and milk powder, mix well without making any lumps in it. Put it on a flame and cook it till it becomes thick. Add cream in it and mix well till it starts thickens in consistency. Then add ghee in it and mix well.
We have to make khoya or mawa from it or you can also take dairy made khoya as well.
Once it becomes perfectly crumble then add paneer in it and mix well till they turn mushy and smooth.
Further add condensed milk and green cardamom powder in it and mix well to combine them evenly.
Keep the flame on low and mix till the mixture starts leaving the pan.
Ones it gets perfectly a binding consistency, then turn the flame off and keep aside for 10 minutes or till it is easy to touch.
Now start making ladoo from it by taking a portion from it and roll in in your palms. Make a ball from it and keep aside. Make all the ladoo with the similar process.
Finally, your delicious malai ladoo are now ready. Garnish them with chopped nuts and enjoy.
