Malai Chicken Recipe | Murgh Malai Chicken Curry Recipe

Malai Chicken Recipe Hey foodies!! Welcome back to the zayka recipe’s kitchen. Today I am sharing the mughlai murgh malai chicken recipe which is really amazing and rich in taste. The process of making it is really easy and quick and the good thing is that it does not contain a lot of ingredients to make. The creamy texture and rich flavor makes it lip smacking. So without wasting more time, let;s know how to cook it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Malai Chicken

  • Chicken with bones = 700 gm Onions = 3 medium
  • Cream = 4 tbsp
  • Oil = for cooking

Spices For The Marinade

  • Curd = 1/2 cup
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder = 1 tsp
  • Cashew = 10 to 12 cashews, paste
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Green chilies = 3, slit
  • Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp

Instructions To Marinade Chicken

Step 1

Rinse and wash chicken well. Put it in a strainer and strain all the water from it.

Step 2

Transfer the wash chicken in a bowl and add salt, turmeric powder, curd, garam masala powder, cashews paste, green chilies, black pepper powder and ginger and garlic paste.

Step 3

Mix all the spices well with the chicken pieces and make sure every chicken piece must be coated well with spices.

Step 4

Keep this marinated chicken aside for about an hour.

Step 5

For the fried onions, take a pan, add 2 tbsp of oil in it and then add sliced onion in it.

Step 6

Cook the onions till they turn into golden brown in color and ones they fried, keep them in a plate for cooling.

Step 7

After cooling of onions, crush them with your hands.

Process For Making This Delicious Murgh Malai Chicken

Step 1

Take a wok or a pan, add oil in it and heat it up.

Step 2

After heating of oil, add the marinated chicken in it.

Step 3

Cook the chicken on a medium flame for about 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 4

Stir it in between so that it should not get burn.

Step 5

Cook the chicken till it almost dries up and further add fried onions in a pan and mix it well with the chicken.

Step 6

Continue to cook it on a medium flame for 5 to 8 minutes or till the oil separates from it.

Step 7

Add 1.5 cup of water and continue to cook on a low flame. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until it gets tendered.

Step  8

Finally, ones the chicken gets tendered, open the lid, give it a stir and add fresh cream and chopped coriander in it. Simmer it for about a minute.

Your malai chicken is all done to serve. Serve it hot with butter naan or rice or paratha.
