Lemon Pastry Recipe An easy homemade and quick lemon pastry is soft, spongy and delicious in taste. Today I am sharing a delicious lemon dessert which is easy to make and looks royal while serving, This is an easy and a quick pastry recipe which you can make at home. Only basic ingredients are required to make this soft spongy pastry. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Lemon Pastry Recipe

  • All purpose flour = 1 cup
  • Eggs = 2
  • Melted butter = 1/4 cup
  • Sugar = 1/2 cup
  • Lemon zest = 1 tsp
  • Baking powder = 1 tsp
  • Baking powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Milk = 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice = 2 tbsp
  • Yellow food color = few drops
  • Whipping cream = 3/4 cup
  • Lemon essence = 1/2 tsp

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly in a mixing bowl, add sugar, lemon zest, eggs, melted butter and whisk well all the ingredients till they gets mixed evenly.

Step 2

Now add all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and lemon juice in it and gradually add milk in it and whisk it again to make make a smooth and lumps free batter from the mixture.

Step 3

Take a mould and grease it with butter, line it with butter paper and add the prepared batter to the mould.

Step 4

Preheat the oven at 180 degree for 15 minutes and then place the tin to the oven. Bake it for 20 minutes at 180 degree celsius.

Step 5

Till then take a mixing bowl, add whipping cream, 1 tbsp of sugar and whisk it will till it doubles in size.

Step 6

Now add yellow food color and lemon essence. Mix it with gentle hands.

Step 7

Take out the baked cake from the oven. Remove it from the mould. Divide it from the centre or in between in layer.

Step 8

Spread some sugar syrup on the cake by using brush and then spread the layer of cream at one part of the baked cake.

Step 9

Place the second layer on it and then again spread some sugar syrup. Further spread cream and garnish it with whipping cream by using piping bag.

Step 10

Finally, place chopped slice of lemon and some sugar syrup.

Step 11

Place it to the fridge for 2 to 3 hours and then cut it into pieces.

Finally, serve this delicious lemon pastry and enjoy.
