Lauki Paratha Recipe | Lauki Ka Paratha | Bottle Gourd Paratha

Lauki Paratha Recipe Hey guys, today I am going to share a delicious and healthy breakfast recipe which is easy to make and amazing in taste. I had already shared a lot of paratha recipes which are tasty and healthy too, so again I am with the new recipe of paratha which is made with lauki or bottle gourd. So many people make faces while having lauki, but if you give them lauki in this way, they will never ever gonna miss this dish. As we all know that bottle gourd is really good for health while some people don’t like it, so make paratha of it. Let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Lauki Paratha

  • Wheat flour = 2 cups
  • Bottle gourd (lauki) = 250 gm, grated
  • Ghee = 5 tbsp
  • Green coriander = 4 tbsp, chopped
  • Green chili = 2, finely chopped
  • Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly in a mixing bowl, sieve flour in it and then add salt, cumin seeds and mix well.

Step 2

Peel of the bottle gourd and wash it well. Pat dry it and then grate it. Then add the grated bottle gourd to the flour and also add green chili, green coriander and a tbsp of ghee in it. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 3

Now gradually add water in it and knead a smooth and semi soft dough from the flour.

Step 4

Cover the dough with a wet cloth and keep it aside for 20 minutes.

Step 5

Now after 20 minutes, divide the dough into portions and start making balls of it. Flatten it by using rolling pin around 6 inch circumference and spread ghee on it. Again roll it and make a ball of it by twisting it and then flatten it by dusting some dry flour and make a paratha out of it.

Step 6

Heat a griddle, add the prepared paratha on it and grease some ghee. Then after 5 to 7 seconds, flip it and roast it from both the sides till it perfectly cooked and golden spots appears on it. Make all the paratha with the similar process.

Finally, your delicious lauki paratha are now ready to serve. Serve them hot with pickle or curd and enjoy.
