Lasooni Palak Recipe This is a delicious, rich and aromatic recipe of spinach. The flavor and aroma of garlic makes it really a lip smacking recipe. Here I am sharing a recipe of lasooni palak which is quite easy to make and really delicious and healthy too. This palak goes well with steamed rice, butter naan or chapati as well. If you are making this recipe in winters, then serve it with makki di roti and trust me this will makes its taste more good. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Lasooni Palak
- Spinach (palak) = 500 gm
- Water = for blanching or boiling
- Ginger = 1 inch piece
- Garlic = 4 cloves
- Green chilies = 5 to 7
- Onion = 1, finely chopped
- Salt = as per taste
- Coriander powder = 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
- Oil = 1 tbsp
- Butter = 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
- Garlic = 3 tsp, finely chopped
- Asafoetida = a pinch
- Dry red chilies = 2, broken
Instructions For Making It
Firstly take a pan, add water in it and then add clean and washed spinach, ginger, garlic cloves, green chilies and salt in it. Cover the lid and boil it for 3 to 5 minutes.
After boiling it, turn the flame off and keep it aside for cooling.
Now put it in a blender jar and pureed it. Keep it aside.
In a wok, add oil and heat it up. Then add chopped onion in it and saute till translucent or pinkish in color.
Further add coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix well.
Then add the prepared spinach puree in it and mix well on a low flame for 2 minutes. Then add its water and cook it for a while.
Take a tempering pan, add butter in it and heat it up.
Now add cumin seeds and broken red chilies in it and let them splutter for a while or until it turns aromatic. Make sure it should not burn.
Furthermore, add chopped garlic in it and saute for 30 seconds, do not burn it. Turn the flame off.
Pour this tempering to the prepared spinach curry. Turn the flame off.
Finally, your delicious lasooni palak is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with rice or roti or butter naan or makki di roti.
