Korean Style Chicken Skewer Recipe | Chicken Kebab

Korean Style Chicken Skewer Recipe This is a popular street food of Korea which is also known as dak-kkochi, small pieces of marinated chicken which are then coated in the prepared Korean sauce. This recipe is quite easy and for the spicy food lovers, this appetizer goes well for their taste buds. I quite like this recipe as sometimes when I wanna eat something spicy, this goes perfect for my mood. You don’t need much ingredients for making this kebabs or skewers  as they are really quick and easy to make. So let’s know how to make them.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Chicken Kebab

  • Chicken = 600 gm, boneless, cubes
  • Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Vinegar = 1.5 tbsp
  • Chicken powder = 1.5 tbsp
  • Garlic = 6 to 7 cloves, finely chopped
  • Ginger = 1/2 tbsp, grated
  • Chili flakes = 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce = 2 tbsp
  • Honey = 1.5 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce = 2 tbsp
  • Spring onion greens = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Sesame seeds = as required
  • Sesame oil = 1 tbsp
  • Oil = 2 tsp

Instructions For Making Korean Style Chicken Skewer

Step 1

Take a mixing bowl, add washed chicken in it and then add chicken powder, vinegar, salt and black pepper powder. Mix everything well and cover it. Keep it aside for marination and marinate it for 30 minutes.

Step 2

For making korean sauce, in a bowl, add honey, tomato ketchup, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes and mix all the ingredients well. Sauce is ready.

Step 3

Take skewers and start threading marinated chicken cubes in it. Make 5 to 6 skewers.

Step 4

On a griddle pan, add oil and then add skewers. Fry until light golden in color from all the sides.

Step 5

Then apply prepared sauce with brush and then cook them again from all the sides until golden or for 5 to 8 minutes.

Step 6

Keep turning in between to avoid burning and cook from all the sides.

Finally, serve them to a serving plate and spread some sesame seeds and chopped spring onion greens.

Serve Them Hot with dip and enjoy.
