Hey foodies!! Today we are going to make kadai paneer. Most of the people craved for paneer and today we are going to make it in an indian style. This kadai paneer recipe will surely watering your mouth and be ready to get compliments from your family.

Let’s get started-
Required ingredients for Kadai Paneer-
- Cottage cheese (paneer) = 100 gm (chopped in cubes)
- Bell pepper (capsicum) = 1 medium size (chopped in cubes)
- Onion = 1 small size (chopped in cubes)
- Onion =1 large size (chopped in slice)
- Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
- Black pepper = 1/2 tsp
- Green cardamom = 2
- Cloves = 2
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Coriander powder = 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1 tsp
- Ground spices powder (garam masala) = 1/2 tsp
- GInger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
- Tomato = 1 large size (chopped in pieces)
- Cilantro = 2 tsp (finely chopped)
- Lemon = 1/2
- dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)= 1 tsp
- Bay leaf = 1
- Cinnamon stick = 1 piece
- Fresh cream = 3 tbsp
- Oil = as per required
- Salt = as per taste
Method for making kadai paneer-
Take a bowl, add paneer and also add salt and red chilli powder into it. Kept it aside for marinating so that paneer absorb the salt and chili.
Now squeeze the lemon into the marinated paneer and mix them gently. Kept it aside for 10 minutes.
Now add 2 tbsp oil into the pan and heat it. After heating up of oil, add paneer into the pan and saute it for few minutes until its color turns into golden.
Now keep it in a bowl.
Add 1 more tbsp of oil into the pan and add chopped bell pepper (capsicum) and saute it for 2 minutes. Take out the saute bell pepper and kept it into a bowl.
Now fry onion into the pan (Onion which is chopped in cubes). Also keep it into a bowl of bell pepper.
Now add 2 tbsp of oil into a pan and add cumin seeds, black pepper, green cardamom, and cloves.
fry the ground spices until they crackle.
Now add sliced onion into the pan along with the ground spices and fry them for few minutes. Also add ginger and garlic paste into the pan and cook them for 1 to2 minutes.
Now add tomato into the pan and add a little bit of salt into the tomatoes and cook them well by covering the lid for 2 to 3 minutes.
(cook them until they soften)
Now make a paste from the cooked onion and tomato when they become cold.
After making a paste, strain the puree with the help of strainer so that the tomato peel and ground spices gets separated from it and we will get a smooth puree for paneer.
Add 2 tbsp of oil into the pan and heat it. Now add bay leaf and cinnamon stick into the pan and saute them for few minutes. Also add red chili powder and puree inno the pan and cook them.
Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder and cook them well by covering the lid.
Now add cream into the puree and cook until the oil gets separated from the puree.
Now add fried bell pepper and onion into the puree. Cook them for 5 minutes. Now at last add paneer into the puree.
Now add chopped cilantro, ground spice powder and dried fenugreek leaves and mix them gently.
Your kadai paneer is ready to serve.
Serve them with butter naan, paratha or with rice.
