Jeera Biscuit Recipe | Easy Tea-Time Snack Cumin Cookies

Jeera biscuit are cookies which are baked with cumin seeds. The taste of these biscuits is really delicious as the dough is kneaded with milk and cumin makes its taste more tastier. You can also buy these biscuits from market but the taste of homemade cumin cookies is really amazing. You can also serve it to your guest or can enjoy it at you tea time. Let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Jeera Biscuit

  • All purpose flour or fine flour or maida = 150 gm
  • Milk = 1/2 cup
  • Coconut powder = 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds or jeera = 1 tsp
  • Ghee = 75 gm
  • Sugar = 1 tbsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Baking powder = 1/2 tsp

Method Of Making Cumin Cookies

Step 1

Sieve all purpose flour in a bowl and then add baking powder and salt. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 2

In another bowl, add ghee and whisked it until it turns into a creamy texture.

Step 3

Now in ghee pan, add sugar and coconut powder and again mix it well.

Step 4

Add flour and cumin seeds in a pan of ghee and sugar mixture and then by gradually adding milk, knead it into a dough. After kneading a dough, keep it aside by covering a wet cloth on it.

Step 5

Pre heat microwave at 180 degree celsius.

Step 6

Now take dough and flatten it into a thick round shape.

Step 7

Cut this flatten dough into a biscuit shape. Cut it equally.

Step 8

Now put these biscuits into a baking tray and put this tray in microwave.

Step 9

bake the biscuits for 20 to 25 minutes until a beautiful golden brown color appears.

Step 10

After baking it, remove the tray from microwave and keep the biscuits in a tray for 8 to 10 minutes.

After sometime, your jeera biscuits are ready to serve. Serve them with tea and enjoy it with your family and friends.

You can also store them for 1 month in an airtight container.
