Chicken korma is very easy yet delicious recipe which can be easily made at home and the ingredients required for this are all available at our kitchen. Mainly it is the famous dish of Hyderabad and can be known as Hyderabadi chicken korma.

So let’s make chicken korma in today’s dinner.
Necessary ingredients required for making chicken korma-
- Chicken = 400 gram
- Almonds = 1 tablespoon (grind)
- Lemon juice = 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper = ½ teaspoon
- Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tablespoon
- Oil = 3 tablespoon
- Onion = 1 medium size (chopped)
- Red chili powder = 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder = ½ teaspoon
- Yogurt = 150 gram
- Green chili = 2
- Green cardamom seeds = 4
- Clove = 3
- Cinnamon stick = 2
- Bay leaf = 1
- Ground spice powder = ½ teaspoon
- Green coriander = 1 tablespoon (chopped)
- Salt = as per taste
- Grind almonds = 1 tablespoon
- Coriander leaves = ½ tablespoon
How to make chicken (korma) gravy in Indian style-
Wash the chicken very well and keep it in a bowl.
Now add lemon juice, a pinch of salt, turmeric powder, black pepper powder and ginger garlic paste in the chicken. Mix all the ingredients with the chicken very well and now keep it aside for marinating for 1 to 2 hours.
Now take a deep pan, pour oil in it and let it heat on the flame, when oil starts get heating, add chopped onions and fry the onions until the color of onions converted into light golden. After frying the onions, keep them side.
Now take a grinder, put fried onions, yogurt, green chili and almonds into the grinder and grind them into a smooth paste.
Now add red chili powder and salt in the onion, almond paste and mix them.
Now add this mixture into the marinated chicken pieces. Mix the entire things well.
Now heat the oil and add green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick and bay leaf in the oil. Cook them for 40 to 50 seconds.
Now add the marinated chicken pieces in the oil and also the remaining mixture of marination.
Cook the chicken until a boil came into the chicken and then cover the lid of the pan for 15 to 20 minutes and let it cook. You can also add some water if necessary.
After 15 minutes, open the lid and check whether the chicken gets cooked or tendered. If not, then cook it for more 5 minutes.
Your chicken korma in Indian style is ready.
Garnish it with chopped coriander leafs and almonds.
Serve it with naan.
