Homemade Bourbon Biscuits Recipe You have always have bourbon biscuit right! But have you been tried to make them at home. Here I am sharing homemade chocolate cream biscuit and trust me guys they are exactly tastes as packed one. To make these biscuits you does not need a lot of ingredients and it is quite simple to make them at home. So let’s know how to make them.
Necessary Ingredients For Homemade Bourbon Biscuits
- All purpose flour/fine flour (maida) = 2 cups
- Unsalted butter = 3/4 cup
- Powdered sugar = 1.5 cup
- Baking powder = 1+1/2 tsp
- Milk = 1/4 cup
- Salt = 1/8 tsp
- Cocoa powder = 1/4 cup
- Vanilla essence = 1.5 tsp
For Chocolate Cream
- Cocoa powder = 5 tbsp
- Milk = 2 tsp
- Unsalted Butter = 1/2 tbsp
- Icing sugar = 1 cup
Instructions For Making Biscuits
In a mixing bowl, add unsalted butter and whisk it or beat it till it becomes light and creamy and pale in color.
Further add powdered sugar and beat it again with electronic whisker or hand whisker till both things gets combine.
Now add all purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and some salt. Mix this well and add vanilla essence.
Now start kneaded it by using hands and add milk in it. Knead it soft and stiff dough from the mixture. Make sure you are not kneaded it with too much pressure.
Take butter paper or plastic sheet, put the dough ball on it and start flatten it by using rolling pin and make a thick flatten disc of it.
Further remove the side of it by cutting them to make it even. Then cut the disc into 28 to 30 rectangles.
Pre heat the oven at 180 degree celsius for 10 minutes. Line the baking tray with aluminium paper and then put a butter paper on it.
Add biscuits on the tray. Make holes in it by using skewer or any such thing.
Dust some sugar on the top and put this tray to the oven for baking. Bake them for about 12 to 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, take the tray out and let the biscuits cool down, once they cools, transfer them to a plate and bake another batch of biscuits with the similar process.
How To Make Its Filling Or Cream Or Frosting
In a mixing bowl, add butter and beat it for a while, then gradually add icing sugar (normal sugar) and beat it to mix with butter well.
Furthermore, add cocoa powder and some milk. Whisk well, make sure the cream must not be too creamy or running in consistency that’s why I am using a very less amount of milk so that it should not get out from the holes of the biscuits or from the sides as well.
Beat all the ingredients well. Frosting is now ready.
Making Of Bourbon Biscuits
Take two baked biscuits and add a tbsp or as required of prepared frosting, put it on a biscuit and spread it gently so that biscuit must not break. You can use spoon to filling it or can also add this filling to the piing bag as well.
Add another biscuit on the top and keep aside. Make all the biscuits with the similar process.
Finally, your delicious homemade bourbon biscuits are now ready to serve. Serve them with tea or coffee and you can also store them for about 3 weeks in an airtight container and enjoy.
