Hash Browns Recipe | How To Make Hash Browns At Home

Hash Browns Recipe Hey readers!!! I hope you all are doing good. Today I am going to make a very delicious hash brown which are really good in taste and easy to make. The process of making these hash brown is quite easy and when you serve it with sauces or chutney, they tastes amazing. So without wasting any time, let’s get started.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Hash Browns

  • Potato = 5, medium size
  • Rice flour = 3 tbsp
  • All purpose flour = 3 tbsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Chili flakes = 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Processed cheese = 3 cubes, grated
  • Oil = for frying

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly, take potatoes and peel off them. Now wash them well and pat dry the potatoes.

Step 2

Take a bowl, add water in it and grate potatoes in a bowl so that all the starch removes from the potatoes.

Step 3

Take a pan, add 2 cups water in it and let it boil. After boiling of water, add grate potatoes in it and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir it 1 to 2 times in between.

Step 4

After sometime, turn the flame off and take a bowl, add water and ice cubes in it.

Step 5

Put a cloth on a bowl and add boiled potatoes on the cloth.

Step 6

Hold all the corners of the cloth and dip boiled potatoes into the bowl.

Step 7

Now squeeze all the water from the potatoes.

Step 8

Add these squeeze potatoes into the another bowl and then add rice flour and all purpose flour in it.

Step 9

Also add chili flakes, black pepper powder and salt. Mix all the things well.

Step 10

Last but not the least, add grated processed cheese in the mixture and mix it well with the other ingredients.

Step 11

Grease your palms with oil and take a mixture in your hands, make oval shape from the mixture and put it in a greased plate.

Step 12

Make all the ovals from the mixture.

Step 13

Take a pan, add oil in it and heat it up. After heating of oil, add prepared hash brown in it for frying.

Step 14

Fry them till they turn into beautiful golden brown in color. Flip them occasionally to fry them from both the sides.

Finally, strain the excess oil and put them into a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.

Your hash browns are ready to serve. Serve them hot with sauces or chutney.
