Gur Ka Halwa Recipe Hey guys!!! Welcome back to the zayka recipe’s kitchen, Today I am sharing a delicious recipe of halwa. This halwa is made with jaggery which tastes at its best. This is made like kada prasad but we use jaggery in it instead of sugar. The taste of jaggery is totally different than the sugar. Let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Gur Ka Halwa
- Jaggery (gur/gud) = 1.5 cup
- Wheat flour = 1 cup
- Ghee (clarified butter) = 1 cup
- Cashews = 15
- Water = 3 cups
Instructions For Making This Jaggery Halwa
In this halwa, we do not have to cook jaggery, we are just going to melt it. So firstly, take a pan, add jaggery and then add 3 cups of water in it. Put it on a flame and continue to stir it.
Stir it continuously till jaggery completely melts in water.
Turn the flame on low and keep it melting.
Till then take a wok, put it on a stove and then add clarified butter in it. Let the ghee melt.
Then add wheat flour in it and roast for 2 minutes on a high flame. Continue to stir it to avoid burning.
After 2 minutes, turn the flame low and roast it till the color of flour turn into golden brown in color, make sure that it should not burn.
Once jaggery melts completely in water, turn the flame off.
When flour gets roasted well, add the prepared jaggery syrup in the flour mixture. Mix the syrup and flour well so that combine well with each other.
Now add cashews in it. You can also add almonds if you want. Mix cashews well in it and cook it for about 2 to 4 minutes.
You can also cook it till ghee starts oozes from it.
Finally, delicious gur ka halwa is now ready to serve. Serve it hot and enjoy.
